Mission

To develop a strong bonding between our culture and the American culture by means of social, civic, economical and political integration through empowerment of the Hispanic communities.

To advance the economic condition, educational attainment, political influence, health and civil rights of the Hispanic population in the United States.

Mission Performance Measures:

Economic: Increase the per capita and family income of the Hispanic community. Increase the representation of Hispanic in middle and upper management positions. Foster increased opportunities for Hispanic businessmen. Decrease the number of Hispanic living in poverty. Increase the percentage of Hispanics working in desirable jobs.

Education: Increase the percentage Of Hispanic receiving a quality education. Decrease the dropout rate, increase the college-going rate, the college graduation rate, the graduate education rate. Improve academic performance.

Political: Increase the influence of the Hispanic community at all levels of government. Increase the number of Hispanics elected to political positions throughout the United States. Increase Hispanic voter registration and the voting rate. Advocate for the adoption of laws and policies that would be beneficial to the Hispanic community.

Health: Increase Hispanic access to health insurance and health care. Foster healthier lifestyles within the Hispanic community. Reduce violence among Hispanic youth. Reduce the incidence of chronic diseases among the Hispanic population.

Civil Rights: Increase equal treatment under state and national laws and to reduce tendencies and actions that deprive Hispanics of their rights in educational institutions, in economic pursuits and in social, civic and political activities.

MISSION   YOUNG  PROFESSIONAL
We are a group of young professionals in the Boston area who are committed to the empowerment and advancement of Latin American youth through mentoring, education and cross-cultural networking.

Objectives

Mentoring:
We are committed to 'one-on-one' mentoring of Latin American youth

Scholarship Fund-Raising:
Funding sources will include Employers, Philanthropic Organizations, Companies, Individuals and our peers

Merit and need-based scholarships will be awarded to first-year, college-bound, Latin American men and women

Networking:

We will collaborate with other networking organizations that incorporate disciplines including business, medicine, and law

Objectives

Mentoring Program:
Star a mentoring program that caters towards the Massachusetts LULAC Scholarship recipients.

Membership Drive Program:
We will with other organizations increase our current membership.

Scholarship Fund-Raising:
We will attempt to raise $2 - $4 K in scholarships.

Networking:
We will actively network with other professional organizations with similar ends.
We will attempt to hold a joint event with one of these organizations.
